A priest has taken over Mystic Falls, and he seems incredibly evil. He's taking down all of the mystical beings by force. Someone needs to eat him. I really dislike him strongly.
Elena is turning into a vampire. OR IS SHE? Well, probably she is. And whatever happens, she'll know HOW MUCH DAMON LOVES HER. WHICH IS SO MUCH. OH MY GOD HE LOVES HER SO HARD. UGHHHHHHHH MY FEEEEELINNNGGSSSSSSSS
Incidentally, this show is what turned me to Tumblr in the first place. I needed somewhere where everyone could understand how intensely strong my feelings were about a television show. Illogically strong, one might say. But not Tumblr. Oh, no. Tumblr is there for me with gifs out the ears.
Anyway.
In the season opener, Bonnie's self-sacrifice takes a very insane turn as she decides to pull an Orpheus and bring half (or something) of Elena's spirit back from the dead. What? Why. I don't know. All I know is that pretty much every character on this show is completely determined to kill themselves for the possibility of saving someone else. I'm pretty sure literally every character has attempted to sacrifice themselves. Elena does it so often that it turned into a joke made by Damon at some point, though of course now I can't find it anywhere.
BUT OF COURSE in grand Vampire Diaries tradition, it only ends in something terrible happening to Bonnie('s grandmother, who was already dead? She maybe sort of like killed her soul? Seems bad.). Bonnie just keeps getting screwed royally by this show.
So does Damon, kinda. And Jeremy. And Caroline. All to lesser extents than Bonnie, who arguably has had the worst things happen to her, but this show does love abusing its characters.
ALSO IF ELENA STAYS WITH DAMON FOREVER I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL THROW MY TELEVISION OUT A WINDOW.
PS, I knew that the Pastor was bad news, and now he's killed everyone. Or something. OH GOD ARE THERE GONNA BE GHOSTS, IS THAT WHAT WE'RE DOING THIS SEASON, IS GHOSTS, AGAIN. NOOOO.
